David Rae joined CJMH in 1989 after graduating from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law and following a clerkship with the firm.
On joining the firm, David worked briefly in litigation which gave him a good foundation for understanding disputes. Thereafter, he concentrated his practice on real estate and general corporate matters. For over a decade now, David has since shifted his focus to corporate and transactional matters with an emphasis on buying and selling businesses. Serving as outside general counsel to many of his clients, David assists them with a variety of legal matters and frequently advises on strategic decisions.
Over the last 25 years, David has assisted clients selling businesses by working to maximize the sales price while minimizing risks. Conversely, when representing a buyer, he works to assure that his clients get the best value for the price. The dollar amount of his innumerable closed real estate transactions is in the hundreds of millions. Having grown up in Mexico City, David enjoys representing his broad range of international clients.
