Leigh Rhodes-Zittrer joined CJMH in 1998 after beginning her legal career as a litigator and appellate lawyer with a small Houston law firm. Throughout her decades in practice, Leigh has collected an impressive array of achievements.
From the purchase and sale of approximately 150,000 acres of ranch land in South Texas to a complex contract with a Texas county’s rail relocation and sale of right-of-way, her experience in all areas of real estate law is extensive. It has led to informed problem-solving with title work, development, purchase, sale, and regulation of raw land marked for redevelopment. Furthermore, Leigh has led the negotiation of commercial retail and office leases for large and small tenants and landlords. Additional highlights include the successful negotiation of numerous multi-million dollar pipeline easement settlements and a multi-tract assemblage in the City of Manvel.
Leigh is very familiar with the complexities of working with state, county, and municipal agencies in the contracting, developing, and regulating land. Pulling from her broad knowledge base of the real estate industry and her impeccable ability to reach a deal all parties are satisfied with, Leigh has time and again effectively assisted real estate developers, entrepreneurs, and business owners achieve their intended outcome through the whole process. That process starts with a letter of intent, moves onto contract drafting, title review, and concludes with curative negotiation of closing documents. The last step is the official closing. Leigh’s attention to detail through this process is key to its success.
An alumnus of The University of Texas, Leigh received her BBA in 1992, and then her Juris Doctorate at the University of Houston Law Center in 1995. She is a member of the Houston Bar Association.
During her spare time, Leigh enjoys traveling with family, as well as sailing and boating.
