Dunham Jewett joined CJMH in 1975 after working for the firm while in law school. Initially, Dunham’s practice focused on the areas of corporate transactions, as well as income and estate taxation. These days, Dunham represents entrepreneurs in both their business and family matters – including:
Much of Dunham’s real estate work is concentrated in the development of new, multifamily properties.
Clients appreciate Dunham’s ability to provide advice based on both his knowledge and experience. As a self-starter, Dunham weighs every alternative and searches for the ideal solution that fits each client’s particular needs – ultimately leading to their desired outcome. With his years of experience and know-how, Dunham has a confident and intelligent willingness to take a position on what course of action he believes his clients should follow when they are presented with various choices.
Prior to practicing law, Dunham received his AB from Dartmouth College in 1972. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from The University of Texas School of Law in 1975, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif.
Dunham is a trustee to several established private foundations, including the Dorothy Richard Starling Foundation and the Dickson-Allen Foundation. Additionally, both Dunham and his wife are actively involved with St. John’s School in Houston and several Houston museums and charitable organizations.
