John Herrmann enjoys creating pragmatic solutions to address the specific challenges facing each client. Since joining CJMH in 2022, John has represented clients in complex commercial disputes from a variety of industries, including construction, oil and gas, commercial real estate (buyer and seller), and banking/finance. John has also successfully represented commercial landlords and tenants during lease negotiations, landowners threatened with condemnation proceedings by pipeline companies, and venture capital firms acquiring new investment assets.
A measured and methodical mindset allows John to distill complex issues into actionable legal strategies. He focuses on learning each facet of a client’s business to craft novel and highly effective legal approaches. Before starting his legal career, John taught AP Physics for a Texas ISD. This experience honed his abilities as an advisor partnering with clients throughout each stage of a dispute or transaction.
John earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center, where he graduated cum laude and competed on the Mock Trial Team. John won the 2021 TEX-ABOTA “Best in Texas” Trial Advocacy Competition, received the 2021-2022 University of Houston Law Center Achievement in Advocacy Award, and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers.
John and his wife both graduated from Texas A&M University and are lifelong Aggies. They can often be found hiking through national parks across the country, including Mount Rainier National Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Big Bend.
