Lawrence E. (“Larry”) Glenn is a Partner at CJMH. Before joining the firm in 1983, Larry worked as an in-house attorney with Gulf Oil Corporation. He represented Gulf Oil Exploration Company in domestic and international oil and gas transactions, before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and before state oil and gas administrative agencies. 

Today, he serves as general counsel to families who own oil and gas interests, assisting in corporate and planning matters. Larry has successfully represented clients on oil and gas transactions amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars. In addition, he represents various oil and gas ventures in a variety of disputes – often helping clients avoid a drawn-out trial.

Larry brings peak efficiency to families and corporations by providing high-quality legal services regardless of case size. He brings a balanced and thoughtful approach to his client’s legal issues and offers opportunities for solutions on a cost-effective and directed basis. Furthermore, clients appreciate the depth of Larry’s experience and knowledge on all aspects of oil and gas law and day to day advice on general business matters. Clients enjoy working with Larry because he’s founded his practice on building relationships and offering an elevated level of connection and attention. 

Larry attended Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, and went on to receive his BS and MS in Geology at Stanford University in 1974. He then continued in his educational journey, earning his Juris Doctorate from The University of Texas School of Law in 1977.

Aside from his lengthy tenure at CJMH, Larry has an active life with his wife of 45 years, and their three adult children and grandchildren. He remains in touch with high school, college, and professional friends around the country. Additionally, Larry is a member of the River Oaks Country Club and is a founding member of a hunting and fishing club formed in 1992.
